Company Administrator

Heather for many customers is the first point of contact.  Her responsibilities includes contract negotiation, accounts and administration.


BA (Hons) 1st Class - Linguistics and an African Language (Hausa).

1979 - 1982 University of London - School of Oriental and African Studies.

UCLES/RSA Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. 1990 - 1991 Brooklands Technical College Weybridge.

 Heather - Past Work:

Omron Terminals Ltd: Maintenance Contracts Administrator - responsible for keeping accurate records of customers' equipment, issuing contracts and invoicing. Including the supervision of other staff. After teaching herself to use Lotus 123, she became involved in specifying requirements for new computer and word processing systems.

C. Itoh and Co Ltd (Japanese Trading Company): Heather was responsible within this Japanese trading company's Chemical department for accounts and handling of all the incoming and outgoing payments. Besides current business, this also involved monitoring all agency business and assisting the Finance Dept in matters relating to rescheduling of Nigerian debts. Her knowledge of Nigerian culture, gained while studying Hausa, helped with this. Many business meetings were conducted in Japanese and Heather learned to understand some spoken Japanese.

Tear Fund and Tearcraft: Held three clerical positions while working for this third world relief and development organisation. Most of her time here was spent working in the Customer Services department of the trading arm, Tearcraft. Here Heather dealt mainly with helping customers and representatives.

Legal and General Assurance Society Ltd: Clerk in Miscellaneous Accident Underwriting Department.
